Company Origin Story
Stonebrook Power didn't start in a boardroom, it started over lunch and was sealed on a crisp winter’s chairlift ride. A company whose foundation is built on decades of shared experience, mutual respect, and a deep belief that the energy industry can and should do better.
Our Founders have each spent the last 10+ years working across the renewable energy landscape, at times together, at times as affiliates, but mostly charting their own paths entirely. Stonebrook is where those paths finally converge. What they've always shared is a passion for the work, a commitment to doing it right, and an underlying friendship that has proven just as durable as their professional track record.
When the idea for Stonebrook came together, it didn't take long to get serious. A few months of focused planning later, Stonebrook Power was officially founded in May of 2026.
Why We Do It
We are nature enthusiast at heart. We've seen firsthand what's worth protecting, and we've made it our mission to protect it. Stonebrook exists to advance the adoption of renewable energy, reduce society's dependence on fossil fuels amidst growing electricity demand, and demonstrate that responsible development and thoughtful land use aren't obstacles to progress, they are progress.

Who We Are
Chris Byers
Co-Founder
Chris has 15+ years of experience in renewable energy across construction, development, advisory, and executive leadership. As Founder of Branch Renewable Energy, he has supported ~400 MW of projects in Maine and advises institutional investors across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. He has developed and exited multiple community solar projects and helped shape state policy through engagement with regulators. Chris brings full lifecycle execution capability to advancing projects and delivering outcomes at Stonebrook.
Zach Good
Co-Founder
Zach brings 12+ years of experience in renewable energy project development and finance. Previously held leadership roles at Aligned Climate Capital, BNRG Renewables, and ReVision Energy. Zach’s background spans project development, M&A, construction, and operations. Outside of the office Zach is a hobbyist musician, avid skier, and enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and two young children.
Nick Mazuroski
Co-Founder
Nick brings 15+ years of experience building energy projects across North America, from first landowner conversations through development, financing, and construction. As co-founder of Dirigo Solar, he led development of more than 30 solar projects across the Northeast, earning the Maine Climate Leader Award along the way. He co-founded Stonebrook to keep developing well-built, community-friendly projects with the people involved as core partners. Outside of work, Nick loves exploring southern Maine with his wife and their three kids.
